So how do Air Conditioners make the inside air so much cooler than the air outside?

When you think of air conditioning you think cold air, but air conditioners don't actually pump cool air in, they take warm air out. A/C units work by taking the warm air inside your home through a condenser. the condenser then removes the heat via freon. The air that had heat removed is then pushed through your air ducts, cooling your home until the desired temperature is maintained. They work in the same fashion as the refrigerator sitting in your kitchen. Call Air Pro to learn more about your air conditioning system.

Differences in Air Conditioning Systems

Air conditioning systems come in many different shapes, sizes, efficiencies, and uses. Some situations call for a central air conditioning system that will push air throughout your home via a duct system. Sometimes you only need to cool one room, so you would want a window unit, but this method is not energy efficient nor does it provide optimal comfort for your home.

If you don't have room for a duct system but want the energy savings, convenience, and comfort of a central air system you may want to consider a ductless split system. With a ductless system, simple copper tubing and electrical wiring to indoor units connects a separately installed outdoor unit. Refrigerant is pumped from the outdoor condenser coil and compressor through the tubing to the indoor unit or units. A fan then quietly distributes cool air drawn across the unit's evaporator coil. Because small tubing is used to distribute refrigerant instead of ducts distributing air, you can fit these systems where ducts don't exist.
